DAVE GREBER

 Author, Bible Teacher, Speaker

Dave is an engaging, practical speaker and would be available to speak to adults and youth about the following topics (among others).

An Introduction to the Lost Commandment
An introduction to John 13:34.

Joy to the World.
Jesus came to bring joy to the world, but many of us aren’t experiencing joy. Why? At the Last Supper, Jesus gave us a new commandment that He said will bring us complete joy. This message describes five ways that obedience to Jesus’ new commandment brings us joy.

More Costly Than Gold.

Are Christians really supposed to live according to the Golden Rule by loving their neighbors as themselves? Or did Jesus have something more radical in mind? When we look more closely at the life of Jesus, we realize that although He fulfilled the requirements of the Golden Rule, He did not live according to the Golden Rule. Instead, Jesus has loved us the way His Father God has loved Him (John 15:9). Jesus now asks that we pay His love forward by loving others as He has loved us (John 13:34, 15:12). This message discusses how the Lost Commandment differs from the Golden Rule, and describes the seven ways that we know that the Lost Commandment replaces the Golden Rule.

Enjoy Your New Self.

Many of us struggle with feelings of inadequacy because we have been bruised and beaten by unkindness in the world. But when we understand and accept God's love for us, our emotional wounds begin to heal. This message focuses on five aspects of God’s love for us that bring healing and joy to our lives.

Forgiving the Unforgiveable.

The shooting of innocent Amish children. The senseless killing of Virginia Tech students. Unthinkable acts of hate. Our world is filled with sin that seems unforgivable. But Christ insists that we forgive the seemingly unforgivable because He first forgave us. This message offers insight and hope to those who find it difficult to forgive those who have hurt them. Dave uses a personal illustration in the lesson by describing how he forgave a man who broke his jaw.

The Power of Love in Prayer.

Jesus' disciples asked Him to teach them to pray. When we understand how Jesus wants us to love others, our concept of prayer is revitalized and revolutionized. In this message, Dave teaches how infusing our prayer with Jesus' love can change our minds, our hearts, and our world.

Who’s Next in Line?

How can we possibly love others as Jesus loves us when we seem too busy to breathe? This message discusses the principles of loving boundaries and priorities that Jesus used while He was a man, and how these principles can be applied to our lives so that we can love others as Jesus has loved us.
